Is the influencers gone wild trend making social media toxic?

I’ve been thinking about whether the whole “influencers gone wild” trend is turning social media into a more toxic place. The constant drama, stunts, and controversies seem to overshadow genuine creativity.

Do you think this trend is making online spaces more negative? Or is it simply amplifying behaviour that has always existed? Some people say social media thrives on chaos, while others argue that negativity spreads faster than anything else.

I’m wondering if platforms should do more to discourage reckless content or if audiences should stop rewarding it. Are we unintentionally encouraging creators to behave worse just because drama gets more clicks?

I’d love to hear how others experience this. Has the atmosphere of your favourite platforms changed?
